J.T. Thomas collection on Josiah Penfield, 1873-1874.

This collection consists of two letters to J.T. Thomas containing biographical information on Josiah Penfield (1785-1828). The first letter, from J. Penfield, 1873, gives the birth and death dates of the author's uncle, Josiah Penfield, copied from the family Bible. The second letter is from Frederick Marquand of New York, 1874 and contains a sketch of Penfield's life in Savannah.
